Jade Maddox, LPCC, NCC, is the owner and executive director of Counselor's Clinical Cottage, PSC. She specializes in individual and family therapy. Jade has supervised an addiction treatment program and maintained a private practice in Ashland, KY for the past 8 years. She has over 30 years experience as a educator/counselor, children's and family therapist. She is a graduate of Morehead State University with 3 masters' degrees and 2 Rank 1 certifications. Jade is a retired school counselor from the Russell Independent Schools. She has written and been awarded educational grants over 3 million dollars for school disctricts. Jade is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She is the past president of the Kentucky Counseling Association, Kentucky School Counselor Association and the Eastern Kentucky Counselor Association. She is a current executive board member for the Kentucky Counseling Association.

In October 2011 she was awarded the Kentucky Counseling Association's most presigious award, the Linda Morse Lifetime Counseling Achievement Award. In 2012 she was awarded the most prestigeous counselor leadership award by the Kentucky Counseling Assoication; The Kerney Campbell Award. In addition she has been awarded 12 "Outstanding Counselor of the Year" awards from various counseling associations.

She is currently serving as private counseling practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches working with opioid addiction patients. Jade has attended numerous continuing education trainings in the use of Medically Assisted Treatment in addictions treatment. Jade has presented at National and State conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Medically Assisted Treatment, How to Open a Private Practice, Post Tramatic Stress Disorder, Grant Writing, 212 degrees attitude, Leadership Colors and a variety of other topics.

Her therapeutic approach is: to provide clients with educational information, support and practical feedback helping clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Jade was recently certified as a DUI Assessor for Kentucky and as an Certified Instructor for PRI. She is also an instructor at Ohio University in the education and human resources departments and writes special feature articles for the Greater Ashland Beacon.
